Overview

We regard the North Fork as our stage and venue for art presentations and interventions along a trail of available sites extending from Riverhead to Orient Point. Our events will take place not only in fields, woodlands, beaches, and ponds, but in any barn, church, storefront, or structure which invites an artist’s attention and temporary animation. These occupations may last a moment, a season, or morph into permanent landmarks.

We’ll engage the growing pool of remarkable artists who live, work, and are drawn to the North Fork by providing opportunities to create projects with others from different fields, cultures, walks of life, organizations, and businesses, as well as providing resources for artists to exhibit their work, enhance their careers and explore how they can connect with supportive followers. By doing so, we will enliven and enrich the daily routines of our unique coastal oasis.

By presenting compelling transient installations and rotating programs from one end of the North Fork peninsula to the other, we’ll experiment our way towards building a vibrant and generous cultural infrastructure that embodies flexibility, equity, and sustainability – a cogent network for art, artists and residents.

Or what one member of our founder’s group has called an “art trail”, to describe both the geographic and imaginative paths we’ve charted for ourselves.
