The Artists:
Thomas Halaczinsky believes that images, like haiku poems, can tell complex stories. And that as a visual artist and filmmaker his use of photography captures both reality and creates new realities. Images may tell their own stories. Working as a feature film producer, director, documentary filmmaker, photographer and author, Halaczinsky has established himself to be an accomplished storyteller through the images he employs. The idea of finding meaning in simple images through composition and viewpoint has been a guiding principle for his work. Each picture hints at what happened right before the moment was frozen in time or anticipates its future. His current project is a film documentary about the history and future of Plum Island.
