This is an entry level position (independent contractor) with paid compensation commensurate with experience, responsible for facilitating the online promotional support for the organization’s programming (exhibitions, talks, tours, performances, film presentations, and artist professional development opportunities).

Candidates should commit to an average of at least two days per week, working remotely with occasional in-person, online or phone meetings, and should be willing to take on multiple tasks to support the organization’s objectives. This is an opportunity for anyone with an interest in gaining experience in the operations of an innovative arts non-profit organization.

Responsibilities:
• Manage the resources required to promote and market the organization and its programming. These include updating the website; compiling, proofing and sending email blasts to our mailing list while managing and maintaining our mailing list; managing online ticket sales for events; posting listings on local media-outlets; and evaluating and recommending how we might improve our efforts for outreach/audience development.
• Occasionally attending and helping with programmed events as needed.

Ideal Qualifications:
• Experience with WordPress, Mailchimp, Eventbrite, YouTube, and all social media platforms.
• Works quickly, accurately, and with an eye for detail.
• Excellent writing, proofreading, and verbal communication skills.
• An interest & knowledge of contemporary art.
• A knowledge of the east end of Long Island, NY. is a plus.
• An independent worker who wants to be part of a collaborative team.
• A flexible schedule, and available to work occational additional hours if needed.
• Experience working with PC and Mac operating systems; proficiency in Microsoft Office.
