Bill Albertini

Cliff Baldwin

Cliff Baldwin is an artist, composer, designer, and filmmaker. He lives/works in Aquebogue, NY. His work is in numerous collections including MoMA, Brooklyn Museum, Walker Art Center, The Art Institute of Chicago, National Gallery of Canada, Stanford Library, UCLA, San Francisco MoMA and Whitney Museum.   Baldwin’s visual work utilizes language as books, multiples and public sculpture. His music and films have been shown at Parrish Museum, Guild Hall, The Kitchen and Anthology Film Archives. Baldwin directs Aqui Editions, a source for artist’s books and prints. He is partner at Lampa, his lighting design firm since 1991 and he directs North Fork Contemporary in his free time.

Marta Baumiller

Marta Baumiller was born in Warsaw, Poland. She has  travelled the world, studied languages, been a costume maker, fashion designer, milliner and product designer and always an artist. Presently  working across media with a focus on project-based installations , her interest lies in the environment and merging the functional object with process, form, and politics. She incorporates the viewer experientially in playful challenges of accepted social norms.

Marta’s work, in all its various forms, can be found in galleries, hotels, and stores around the globe from The Straw Hat Restaurant in Anguilla to tech offices in Silicon Valley and Westin Hotels worldwide. Her work has also been published in the New York Times, Wallpaper and Interior Design Magazine among others.
She currently lives and works on the North Fork of Long Island.

Arden Scott

Arden Scott is a sculptor who lives and works in Greenport, Long Island, NY. She shows extensively in the US and abroad. As a guest artist at Bob Blackburn’s printmaking workshop, she was seduced by etching as a creative form complementing the sculpture.

She has received numerous grants and awards, including a Guggenheim Fellowship, NY Foundation of the Arts, and most recently, a Pollock – Krasner Foundation Fellowship. She has also appeared in the New York Times in an August 2002 article entitled “Far from Midtown, She’s Fallen in Love with the Sea.”

Arden Scott is a lifelong sailor who moved from New York City to Greenport in 1978. Scott remembers sailing to Shelter Island to visit fellow artist Alan Shields before she moved to Greenport—a move that would have a profound effect on her work. Looking back at her Minimalist sculpture of the 1960s and 1970s, Scott realized that the forms often recalled ships and ship-like contours. She was building her own boat at the time, and was propelled into a study of the form in man-made metals such as bronze and steel, and natural materials including eelgrass and bramble.

Scott has received numerous grants, including a Guggenheim Fellowship and a Pollock-Krasner Foundation grant.

Peter Treiber

Peter Treiber Jr. is an artist, farmer, and carpenter. He lives and works on his farm on the North Fork of Long Island. Drawing from life on the farm, his works demonstrate the tremendous value he places upon the handmade. With art making indiscernible from his other daily pursuits, his work includes tools, art and furniture objects, clothing, and plant material, all of which is from and of the land. He hopes to bring attention to the myriad ways in which agriculture can be adjacent to art and art adjacent to agriculture.

Maryanne Weil

Allan Wexler

Allan Wexler has worked in the fields of architecture, design and fine art for forty five years. He is represented by the Jane Lombard Gallery in New York City and teaches at Pratt Institute in New York City. Allan’s works explore human activity and the built environment. He works as an investigator using series, permutations and chance rather than searching for definitive solutions. He makes buildings, furniture, vessels and utensils as backdrops and props for everyday, ordinary human activity. The works isolate, elevate, and monumentalize our daily rituals: dining, sleeping, and bathing. And they, in turn, become mechanisms that activate ritual, ceremony and movement, turning these ordinary activities into theater. Allan Wexler and Ellen Wexler are a collaborative team involved in projects that are interdisciplinary. They have included architecture, public and private art commissions and museum education environments. It is by dissolving the boundaries between the fine arts and the applied arts, between furniture design, architecture and theatrical performance, between sculpture and interactive exhibition design and between the practice and the research of architecture, that new ideas and innovation flourishes. From Aaron Betsky’s introduction for the 1999 catalog to the exhibition Custom Built: A Twenty-year Survey of Work by Allan Wexler which traveled to  San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, Contemporary Art Center in Cincinnati and The Forum for Contemporary Art in St. Louis: “Allan Wexler is an artist whose gallery objects brings us back to first thing: how we keep rain off our heads, how we define space, how we measure our time. He elaborates on these simple acts in form. This is the core of his work.

Ellen Wiener

Ellen Wiener is a visual artist whose primary subjects revolve around literary themes, landscape and the expansive qualities of reading. She has lived on the North Fork of Long Island since 1989.

Her work can be found in the permanent public collections at:  Cooper-Hewitt Museum, The Smithsonian, Yale Arts Library Special Collections, The Staats Bibliothek- Berlin, Smith College Museum, Hood Museum, Parrish Art Museum, Albright-Knox Museum, Rosenwald Collection, Reed College, Swarthmore College, Sweet Briar College, Washington University, Maslow Collection, Bainbridge Museum and in many private collections.

She has been included in over 100 exhibitions including; PS1-Moma, The Center for Book Arts, The National Academy, Parrish Museum, Hudson River Museum, Heckscher Museum, Princeton Theological Society, Islip Art Museum, Long Island Museum, Stony Brook Museum, Hood Museum, Vanderbilt University, The New York Botanical Gardens- for the Poetry Society of America, Constellation Studios, VSOP Gallery, , Central Booking Gallery, Indiana University Library, Lori Bookstein Gallery, San Francisco Public Library, University of Iowa Center for the Book, 23 Sandy, Abecedarian Gallery, Minnesota Center for the Book Arts, Cincinnati Public Library, Denver Public Library, Marriot Library Utah, Emory University, Art Sites, Art on Paper Pier 36, Lafayette College, East End Arts, Glen Hansen Gallery.
