Tying in with the USA’s 250th anniversary, this documentary photography show features twenty-one photographers and one poet/artist. They follow in the spirit of such iconic American documentary photographers as Dorothea Lange, Walker Evans and Robert Frank, and their works offer a reflection on the country—the good, the bad and the ugly.

Forged With Flame; Welded Sea Sculptures and other Fabrications by Artist Tom Mullanes

A self-taught sculptor, Tom Mullane transforms discarded tools and reclaimed metal into whimsical works of art inspired by marine life and the natural beauty of the East End. Each sculpture begins with a single object—a rusty wrench, an abandoned tool, or an overlooked piece of metal—that sparks an idea. Mullane cleans, restores, and meticulously welds the pieces together, allowing each creation to reveal its own personality. A pipe cutter that hung unused in a neighbor’s garage for 30 years became the claws of one of his signature lobster sculptures. This exhibition celebrates imagination, sustainability, and the remarkable ability to transform the discarded into something full of humor, character, and life.

East End Arts Council is proud to collaborate with North Fork Audubon Society on the 2026 Bird Song Project: A Sculpture Trail, an immersive outdoor art experience at Inlet Pond County Park in Greenport, NY.

Now in its third year, the Bird Song Project brings together nature, art, music, and community in a creative celebration of the natural world. Visitors are invited to explore a series of outdoor sculptures inspired by birds, wildlife, and the surrounding landscape, all set along the scenic trails of Inlet Pond
County Park.
